Afterlife Afterlife Saga Book 1 eBook Stephanie Hudson

This book had an interesting story-line. Unfortunately, it was completely overshadowed by the lack of editing and the mind-numbing amount of grammatical errors.

In addition to the gross misspellings and grammatical errors, there was an utter lack of research or consistency. American characters would lapse back and forth between American slang and British slang; every time a Kazzy would use an American colloquialism, she would say "As they say here".... even if it was part of her (incessant and never-ending) internal dialogue; Draven would speak other languages and the author would (many times incorrectly) translate in parenthesis even though Kazzy couldn't understand it; (footnotes anyone??) and finally, the number of typos was completely unacceptable for a published book.

Even having a few of her friends read over it first would have helped the author and this book immensely. A good dictionary would have been helpful as well, as the author regularly used "large" words incorrectly. Finally, easily a third of the descriptive narration and internal dialogue could have been simply struck from the book.

While the plot was interesting, it was not enough to overcome the shortcomings, at least for me. In short, it was amateurish and quite obviously unedited and self-published. I'll be skipping the rest of the series.

Afterlife Afterlife Saga Book 1 eBook Stephanie Hudson Reviews

FRICKEN FANTASTIC... Be warned, the series does start off slow, but if you keep at it, you will NOT be disappointed. This series is NOT for those who want straight up hot scenes. This is a very complex relationship, character development and back story that is being set up to propel you into the characters lives and continues throughout the entire series. You cannot predict what will happen and Stephanie always keeps you guessing as nothing is what it seems to be. The detail that gets written is so good that you can visualize it in your imagination... this is what makes a great story and what makes a great author.
This is by far the best read I've had in years. This story has a depth that is astounding and pulls the reader along without repetition or leaving loose ends along the way. Because where there is a loose end with author Stephanie Hudson you can rely on her coming through delivering an answer to that loose end.
And a big plus, it's a solid book which has +450 pages in each books, so you get to spend a lot of time with all these characters, the places and and still end up yearning for more
1st I'll say that this Book grabbed me right away when I downloaded the sample. I paid for full version and it seemed as though the book was never going to end- a full bodied book, one so rare to find today.
Keira/Kazzy is main character & he sister, brother, school mate and avian stalker are all involved with her. CLUB AFTERLIFE is a characters unto itself. The richly described settings and colorful descriptions of emotions kept the pages full. At a couple points I felt the need to skip over the overly detailed opulence & riches to vet back to the story at hand. Too wordy sometimes. Although the author Stephanie Hudson does a fine job main g this book come to colorful life, it sometimes was too much.
I like thrill and mystery and how she dragged it out to the very end. I feel the need to buy saga part two!
this writer has a natural gift , but needs to develop it more... I read 3 of her books.. before I just couldnt stand this series anymore.. I got tired of how predictable the heroine becomes... and her inability to not be turned on by every hot man nearby ... her man is a powerful force... but he even became boring in time... but so much more could have been developed in his character... 3 pages of the room decor , and 4 pages of clothes... maybe you need an editor... detail is nice but this became too much ... also so much lip biting AND crying ... sobbing weeping.. wailing, I felt like I needed a zanax ... because the heroine needed medicated... or a set of her own(insert male parts) .. because even tho she had a childhood that should have prepared her, and a background with a spine... the heroine seemed to alternate like a bi polar 14 year old between dramatic epic crying jags .. and sticking up for herself.. I am an avid reader... and sorry my dear , but In order to read your last 2 instalments of this series, I think You , should pay me ... im actually dissapointed to have invested 33 hours into reading your storys , and to know .. if I read the rest , It will not be worth my time ... keep writing but seriously .. get an editor... get a support team .. you DO have potential ... and Im dissapointed to have been drawn in by parts of your story .. but know Im not going to pay money to learn the rest ... because its a lot of lather rinse repeat ..
