Britney Spears is under control – Who cares Sam Lutfi!

There’s no doubt that Britney Spears’ parents are horrified at how their daughter has been living as of late, and they’re finally doing something about it. Brit’s dad, Jamie Spears, went to an emergency court hearing yesterday and was granted temporary legal control over his daughter.

What this means, specifically, is that Mr. Spears has authority to “prosecute any civil harassment restraining orders.” And according to court rep Allan Parachini, “There was a civil harassment restraining order issued against Sam Lutfi, but the specifics of that order are unknown.”

It also means that Jamie will be allowed to restrict and limit visitors to the “Gimme More” singer, who is still hospitalized at the UCLA Medical Center. He is also permitted to use security guards to ensure her protection.

In addition, Mr. Spears has access to all of Britney’s medical records, and finances, and has dominion over her home to change the locks, and clear out anyone who is living there.



As you may have guessed, Sam Lutfi is not a happy camper. He told press, “I object to this. Britney is fully capable of handling her own finances. Her doctors are capable of handling her health care. You’d think in a time like this, the family would be at the hospital taking care of their daughter, rather than fighting for her money. How sad.”

Conveniently, he left out the part about how Jamie won’t let him see Britney.

Britney Spears’ father Jamie has been granted temporary conservatorship over her daughter’s estate by an L.A. court today. What that means is Jamie is basically in charge of Britney’s life right now — medical treatment, business and liquid assets, etc. — until Monday.

Jamie can do cool shit like change the locks to Britney’s house to keep out whoever the hell he wants (probably Britney’s “manager” Sam Lutfi who the judge issued a restraining order against today which means he has to stay away from Britney for the next 22 days) and revoke any contracts she recently signed (goodbye new Mercedes?). Of course Britney freaked the hell out when she found this out because she hates her father.

Furthermore, the courts also reportedly granted Jamie and Brit's mom, Lynne, the right to prosecute a restraining order against her friend/manager Sam Lutfi, who Spears' parents believe are the root cause of their daughter's turmoil.
